How to Fix DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN (Site Doesn't Exist Error)
Typo, dead domain, or DNS failure - isolate which in a minute.
By DigitalNepal · Updated 2026-10-04
Chrome shows this when the domain can't be resolved at all. Three suspects: your typo, a dead/expired domain, or broken DNS.
Steps
1Recheck the spelling
Retype the address manually - don't trust forwarded links. Watch for rn→m and 0→o tricks.
2Test another network
Mobile data loads it? Your Wi-Fi DNS is broken - switch to 1.1.1.1.
3Check domain existence
Use the DNS Checker tool. No records anywhere = expired or nonexistent domain.
4Flush and retry
ipconfig /flushdns plus browser DNS clear, then reload.
Good to know: If it works nowhere and has no DNS records, stop troubleshooting your devices - the site itself is gone.
