Semester GPA: 3.71 (8 credits)
Uses the common 4.0 scale. Confirm your university's exact grade table.
Nepali universities use a 4.0 scale where each grade carries points multiplied by credit hours. Knowing the math helps you target the right subjects for improvement.
Steps
1Learn the grade points
A+ = 4.0 down to D = 1.0 in most 4.0 systems. Confirm your university's exact table - they differ slightly.
2Calculate semester GPA
Multiply each subject's grade point by its credit hours, sum, and divide by total credits. Use the GPA tool on this site.
3Know what CGPA needs
CGPA is the credit-weighted average across semesters - early semesters count as much as later ones.
4Target high-credit weak subjects
Improving a 3-credit C to B moves GPA more than perfecting a 1-credit lab.
Good to know: Grade tables differ between TU, PU and other universities. Always confirm with your campus notice, not seniors' memory.
