Wi-Fi Slow in Nepal? Diagnose and Fix It Properly
Slow Wi-Fi on WorldLink, Vianet, DishHome or NTC fiber? Find whether it is Wi-Fi, the line, or the device.

Most 'slow internet' complaints in Nepal are Wi-Fi problems, not plan problems: bad router placement, too many devices, or peak-hour congestion. Test correctly before upgrading your plan.
Steps
1Run a proper speed test
Stand next to the router, disconnect other devices, and test at fast.com and speedtest.net. Compare with your plan speed.
2Test with a LAN cable
If cable speed is full but Wi-Fi is slow, the problem is Wi-Fi coverage - not your ISP.
3Fix router placement
Place the router high, central and in the open - not inside a TV cabinet or behind the sofa.
4Split 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
Connect phones near the router to 5 GHz for speed; use 2.4 GHz only for far rooms and smart devices.
5Restart ONT + router monthly
Unplug both for 30 seconds. This clears weeks of accumulated glitches.
6Complain with evidence
If cable speed is low at multiple times of day, call ISP support with screenshots and timestamps.
Good to know: Speeds drop in the evening everywhere due to shared bandwidth. Test at morning and night before concluding.
FAQ
Should I upgrade my plan?
Only if cable tests show full speed but it still feels slow - that means your usage exceeds the plan.
