Steps
1Use the compressor tool
Open Image Compressor, drop the photo, set quality 70-80%.
2Compare before/after
Zoom to 100% on faces and text. If clean, done. If not, raise quality slightly.
3Resize only if needed
A 4000px photo for a 500px portal slot wastes megabytes. Resize to ~2x display size.
4Keep originals
Download compressed copies separately. Never overwrite your only original.
Good to know: Screenshots compress worse than camera JPEGs. For documents, rescan instead of screenshotting.
